Service line

Your financial record, from source document to filed return.

You should not have to think about your Jordanian books again. We keep them, we close them, we file them, and we answer to the tax authority for them.

Run by licensed accountants and by tax practitioners who deal with the Income and Sales Tax Department every month, on the same platform that produces your payroll. That last part matters more than it sounds: the payroll journal, the ledger and the tax position are never out of step, because they are the same set of records.

Statutory audits are carried out by your appointed auditor. We prepare the financial statements, assemble the file in the form the auditor expects and answer their queries directly, which is usually what shortens the audit. If you need an auditor appointed, we have long-standing working relationships with the leading firms in Jordan and can make the introduction.

Dar Al-Masri Law In association with DML

Two practices. One team.

DMF grew out of a law firm, and it still works like one. Our accountants sit in the same building as the lawyers of Dar Al-Masri Law, in practice since 1981, and the two practices run engagements together as a matter of routine.

So the contract that creates the obligation and the ledger that records it are drafted and kept by one team. A termination that turns contentious, an assessment that goes to objection, a shareholding that changes mid-year: the lawyer already has the numbers and the accountant already has the file. Nothing is explained twice, and nothing falls between two providers.

Legal advice, representation and documents are provided by DML’s qualified lawyers under their own engagement. DMF does not provide legal services.

Dealing with the tax authority

A significant part of the practical value sits here, and it is the part that is hardest to buy from a processing centre. Our practitioners are certified to represent clients before the ISTD and attend in person.

  • Attendance at hearings, audits and inspections
  • Withholding and sales tax payment administration on your behalf
  • Sales tax and tax clearance certificates obtained
  • Electronic stamp duty computed, paid and certified
  • Two-factor authentication administration for your tax portal account
  • Defence and representation during full ISTD audits and assessments

Specialist support

  • Tax advisory, including structuring advice and review of your tax position
  • Transfer pricing documentation prepared or reviewed, including local file and disclosure form requirements
  • Amended returns and voluntary disclosures
  • Back-correction and restatement where the books inherited from a predecessor are inadequate, which in our experience is a common finding on transition
  • Extended support during external audit, beyond routine auditor liaison

Where a matter becomes legal. An objection or appeal against an assessment is legal work. We do not carry it ourselves; we work in association with Dar Al-Masri Law and hand over cleanly, with the file already in order.

Our platform

DMF MicroCode is our proprietary accounting, ERP and payroll system, built for this market rather than adapted to it. One connected database covering the general ledger, receivables and payables, banking and cheque management, purchasing, sales, inventory, HR and payroll, with automatic posting, multi-currency handling, a configurable tax engine, cost centre reporting and per-user permissions applied at screen and function level.

It is integrated directly with the ISTD's national JoFotara e-invoicing platform, which keeps invoicing compliant without a separate step, and the data is hosted locally. Where you would rather we worked in your own system, we do.

The West Bank

The same service is available in the West Bank, delivered by our own staff in Ramallah: bookkeeping and general ledger with multi-currency handling, management accounts, annual financial statements under IFRS and the applicable Palestinian requirements, corporate income tax, VAT, withholding tax, and representation before the tax authority.

Where a group holds entities on both sides, reporting is consolidated across them and you receive a single view rather than two packs to reconcile.
